Speaklna for Mac · Last updated October 25, 2026

The short version: Speaklna collects no data, and nothing leaves your Mac.

Speaklna is made by Aivmelna LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. This policy explains what Speaklna does with your information.

Speaklna collects no data

There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and no third-party code that does any of those. The app does not have permission to use the network, so it cannot send anything anywhere. We receive nothing from it.

Text you have it read

When you press ⌥T (or click Read Clipboard), Speaklna reads the text that is on your clipboard at that moment and turns it into speech on your Mac. Neither the text nor the audio is saved: once reading finishes or you stop it, nothing is kept. Speaklna does not look at your clipboard at any other time.

Voices you import

If you import a recording to make your own voice, Speaklna transcribes the part you select (up to 10 seconds) with Apple’s speech recognition, set to run on your Mac only, and you check the transcript. It then stores the voice features extracted from that part, together with the transcript, in its own app storage on your Mac. The recording file itself is not copied.

Imported voices are never uploaded or shared, and the app has no way to export them. To remove one, Control-click it in the panel and choose Delete This Voice; deleting the app removes them all. Only import your own voice or a voice you have permission to use.

Settings

Your choices — the selected voice, how long to wait before freeing memory, whether to play a sound, whether to open at login — are stored on your Mac in the standard macOS preferences.

Children

Speaklna collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
